The North Dakota EMS Association and the ND EMS Quality Improvement Program steering committee is seeking Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) for the EMS Supplement QI project.
Subject Matter Expert Employment Application
- EMS Data Subject Matter Experts (15 positions)
o Contracted positions with an estimate of 10 hours per month for each SME
o Hourly contracted wage for training, mentorship, and other duties performed
o No fringe benefits offered
o Travel and per diem expenses reimbursed at current state rate
Subject Matter Experts must have knowledge of:
- Principles and practices of pre-hospital and emergency medicine
- Medical terminology, experience, and working knowledge of environment
- Adult learning concepts and group teaching principles
- Effective customer service techniques
- Microsoft Word, Share Point, Excel and Power Point
Subject Matter Experts must have ability to:
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all parties in the supplement project
- Plan, organize and prioritize work
- Confront conflict in a positive issue oriented format and pursue collaboration to resolve conflict
- Conduct research, analyze data and make recommendations
- Prepare and present clear and concise oral and written reports
- Be proficient in the electronic patient care reporting systems
Subject Matter Experts must have skill in:
- Using a personal computer and applicable software applications
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Public speaking and presentation
Education, Training and Experience Desired
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Paramedicine, Nursing, or closely related field.
- Two years’ of recent, paid work experience performing emergency medical services duties or serving as a quality improvement coordinator (or equivalent) with an EMS agency.
- Current North Dakota EMS license.
- Possession of a valid North Dakota Class D driver license.
