Leading Emotional and Psychological Wellbeing in First Responders

A Workshop on Caring For Your People

NDEMSA is looking for EMS personnel passionate about promoting emotional and psychological well-being within their agencies.


This two-day workshop is designed to help leaders regain their motivation and lead emotional and psychological wellbeing within their organization. This event focus around helping First Responders live better and learn to leverage adversity into resilience and growth. Some of the items the summit will discuss-


  •  The essentials of the First Responder life and wellbeing;
  •  Show why so many First Responders often fail to practice what they know;
  •  Introduce adversity as a lever for growth and development; 
  •  Explore the impact of the pandemic and other stressors from the past year;
  •  Connect resilience and living well with the latest science;
  •  Refresh knowledge on essential behavioral health; 
  •  Build a toolbox of simple, doable practices that promote wellbeing and the skills of rocking with adversity; and
  • Teach leaders to practice and teach well-being.
We hope those who go the workshop on May 21 & 22nd will be willing to help the North Dakota EMS Association develop, educate and sustain a Regional Peer Support Program that utilizes the principals of self-care and resiliency education.

Times:  Friday - 10:00 am-8:00 pm

Saturday - 8:00 am-3:00 pm

Where:  Radisson Blue Fargo

Room Rate:   $144.00

DEMS Grant:  $140 + $90 in lodging

Meals:  All snacks and meals throughout the two days will be provided on-site

Registration Cost: $100.00

A grant through the Center for Rural Health Flex Program with administrative support by NDEMSA has significantly lowered the cost of this training
