North Dakota Emergency Medical Services Association

November NDEMSA Newsletter

Greetings,

Recently, we presented at the ND Association of Counties annual conference. The Association’s goal was to educate local county leaders on the challenges of operating an ambulance service in North Dakota, as well as encourage them to be proactive in engaging their local ambulance service in open communication so, together, we can build a strong EMS system for the citizens and visitors of North Dakota.

My hope in meeting with these local officials was to open up communications between them and local EMS.  I will also encourage ND EMS to do the same with their respective city and county commissioners.

During the NDACo’s board meeting, they passed a resolution acknowledging the challenges of ambulance services in North Dakota and acknowledge their need for stable and long-term financial support to ensure emergency medical services can continue statewide.

We look forward to working with the NDACo, as well as other stakeholders, to create a strong EMS system in North Dakota.

Our Association is successful because of our members and the people these members have elected to represent them.  We are very fortunate to have a superb Board of Directors and staff working on behalf of EMS providers and organizations in North Dakota.  Each of them are very interested in hearing your questions, comments, and concerns.  If you have any input, we would invite you to contact any NDEMSA Officer, director, or staff member.  We would also invite you to be part of the process.  Nominations are currently being accepted for President and two Board of Directors for each region.  Information and applications can be found at the NDEMSA website or by contacting the Association office.  The deadline to submit an application is December 31st

Finally, I am Hoping everyone will have a safe and enjoyable November!

Remember... train hard.... train as you do and as always....STAY SAFE!!!
