The participants have the opportunity to interact with over 60 vendors and attend sessions instructed by over 15 nationally renowned EMS instructors.

NDEMSA Regional Conferences are held during the fall and winter months, typically in Medora, Fargo, Minot and Grand Forks. These conferences provide attendees a more intimate setting in which they have the opportunity to receive hands-on, practical education and skills review.

Communication

Each NDEMSA member receives a free subscription to the Response Time Magazine. This full-color, quarterly publication will keep you up-to-date on current NDEMSA events and training, EMS news from around North Dakota and updates from the Division of EMS. It contains articles specifically for everyone from emergency medical responders (EMRs) to nurses as well as educators and ambulance managers. Every issue is packed with information, from cover to cover, that you do not want to miss.

Members are also automatically subscribed to our monthly E-Updates. This electronic communication allows members to receive updates and provide feedback on more time sensitive issues. Since the E-Update is exclusively for members, it makes you the first to know about education events, application deadlines, advocacy matters, grant opportunities and much more!

Representation

NDEMSA has committed to being the advocate for North Dakota EMS and has been the guiding force in strengthening, improving and innovating EMS through the legislative process. As your advocate you can be assured that we are committed to the betterment of our industry and each member has the opportunity to provide feedback and help shape the advocacy goals and agendas of NDEMSA.

Our representation efforts are not exclusively focused on the legislature. NDEMSA is at the table every time North Dakota EMS and its providers are stakeholders by serving on advisory committees, special task forces and local, regional and national boards.

Here are just a few of the areas we have, and will continue to be, involved in:

  • Department of Emergency Services Advisory Committee,
  • Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council,
  • National Association of EMT's Affiliate Advisory Council,
  • American Ambulance Association's Governmental Affairs Committee,
  • North Dakota EMS Strategic Visioning Committee,
  • Stroke System of Care Task Force and
  • Many, many more!

Award Programs

Every year NDEMSA presents awards in ten categories to a minimum of twenty-two providers. We take great pride in our members and their accomplishments and commitment to the communities they serve. Thus, we find it necessary to showcase the individuals who show a strong commitment and enthusiasm for EMS in North Dakota and genuinely embody the spirit of our industry.

Life Insurance

In December 2010 NDEMSA secured the largest benefit it has ever been able to provide its members. Through an arrangement with American Income Life each NDEMSA member receives a $3,500.00 Accidental Death and Dismemberment policy at no cost to them!!

As a member of NDEMSA you have the exclusive right to elect the executive members of our Board of Directors each April. In addition, you are invited to all meetings of our Board of Directors and are encouraged to provide your insight and feedback by contacting our office at any time.
