Strategic Planning Session

On August 13th a group of 25 EMS stakeholders will gather in Bismarck to create a vision for North Dakota EMS 2025.  The session will be held at the Bismarck Ramada.  For meeting logistics of this session please contact the NDEMSA office at 701-221-0567.

EMS Summit Meetings

YOUR  input and ideas are needed to develop a strategic vision to sustain our EMS system into the future.

We are seeking input from EMS service leaders, providers, and other stakeholders throughout North Dakota.

The agenda will include:   (1.0 LCCR credit hours will be available for attendance)

·       A short introduction of the challenges facing the EMS industry

·       Are staffing, funding, and education the top challenges?

·       Gathering of feedback through small breakout groups

·       Discuss elements of the EMS Vision 2020 document created in 2010

·       Creation of realistic North Dakota EMS Vision 2025 goals

What is the purpose of these statewide meetings?

These meetings are being held to share the challenges that our present EMS system is currently facing, and for numerous stakeholders to work together in identifying just how we can move forward and face these unique challenges.  The North Dakota EMS System is not alone, EMS across the country is facing a number of challenges including; the decline in the largest subsidy (volunteer providers), funding, transport reimbursement, pending regulations, training, and the difficulty of EMS integration into the healthcare system.  

Who is invited?

EMS Leaders, EMS Providers, Legislators, County and City Officials, Hospital Administrators and Staff Members, City and County Health Districts, Emergency Managers, 911 Coordinators, Dispatch Personnel, the general public and all those who have an interest in building a strong EMS system for North Dakota.
