From the President
The success of the North Dakota EMS Association depends largely on the involvement of its individual members. As your representative EMS organization here in North Dakota our goals include lobbying our legislature to create positive changes in communities across our state; holding conferences that reach larger audiences and offer educational value to providers at every level; providing training for new EMS leaders as well as much much more. Your membership in NDEMSA builds that success. We are very proud of the influence we have on EMS in North Dakota. Please consider helping make those things happen by renewing your NDEMSA membership.
That positive change is also contingent on active participation within the association. The North Dakota EMS Association Board of Directors is led by interested and active individuals. The work that they do as well as the time, talents, and energy they bring to the table helps make us a great organization. NDEMSA is currently accepting applications for officers and directors. The deadline to submit a nomination for a position it December 31, 2017. Once received, that information is posted on the website so that everyone has a chance to see who's running before they cast their ballot in February.
Information on Phase II of the 2017 North Dakota EMS Assistance Grants will be coming out soon. Agencies that have a significant financial need should consider applying for the funds. When you get the application please read through the material thoroughly. We understand that the process is not a perfect situation for every service that applies, but the funds will help meet a significant number of EMS needs across our state. We do want to thank the DEMS staff for putting a great deal of time into developing this grant. If you have any questions on the grant application or the application process please contact the ND Division of EMS at 701-328-2388.

All of the sessions will be held in Bismarck, ND. Additional course information can be found on the North Dakota EMS Association website at http://ndemsa.org. Silent Auction Items needed
The annual EMS Rendezvous is still several months away but we are already working on the silent auction. This year the money raised will help pay for the 4th Annual Management Conference that will benefit EMS personnel across our state.
We are looking for ambulance services or individuals willing to donate items for the auction. We are hoping that services will put together a “Theme Basket” that is filled with items donated from their community.
If you are interested in donating you can contact:
