Nominations and Elections
Section 1: Nominations
1.1. Nominations for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and members of the Board of Directors shall be submitted to the NDEMSA Nominations Committee no later than May 1st of each election year.
1.2. Nominations may be submitted by any current member in good standing and must include:
* The nominee’s full name and contact information,
* The position for which they are being nominated,
* A statement of acceptance by the nominee, and
* A brief biography or candidate statement.
Section 2: Voting
2.1. Voting for all elected positions shall be conducted electronically or by other means as approved by the Board of Directors between June 1st and June 15th.
2.2. Election results shall be certified by the Nominations Committee and announced no later than June 20th.
Section 3: Voter Eligibility
3.1. In order to be eligible to vote in the election, a member’s annual NDEMSA membership renewal must be completed and fully processed by March 1st of the election year.
3.2. Only members in good standing as of March 1st shall be permitted to receive a ballot and participate in the election process.
